Polycraft Foam EPS Foam Pallets

Polycraft Designs EIFS foam board is ideal for both commercial and residential projects. With a 30-year track record, EIFS foam has proven itself to be both a durable and popular solution.

Our EIFS foam board are lightweight, have a high R-value, take surface coatings easily, resist moisture and insects, come in various densities and can be modified easily on the construction site.

EIFS foam is popular because it acts as a great insulator. Besides offering design flexibility, EIFS foam insulation boards can cover a building’s entire exterior wall space, in essence eliminating any thermal breaks in the insulation barrier. This can reduce energy consumption, reduce air infiltration and increases interior comfort.

Architects and builders are attracted to EIFS foam because EPS is easily shaped and sculpted to form decorative bands, quoins, and other decorative elements. In addition, EIFS is a competitively priced alternative to conventional stucco or brick.

MORE ABOUT EIFS FOAM BOARD

There are many different types of EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish Systems) finish systems available in the market today. The main distinction between the different systems is that they are either national or regional in scope. Every EIFS finish manufacturer has a specific packaging requirement. The pieces per bundle and bag design is carefully controlled to ensure compliance with the specific EIFS manufacturer’s requirements. Each EIFS manufacturer requires every EPS manufacturer to submit samples for testing to ensure compliance with E.I.M.A.

The main advantages of EIFS are energy efficiency, aesthetic appeal and time savings versus traditional lathe and plaster 3-coat systems. Most EIFS systems use a Portland cement base and incorporate acrylic’s, polymers and in some cases quartz as aggregates. With so many variations in the color, texture and applications, an endless amount of choices are available for the architect or specifying professional. Polycraft Designs can meet all design criteria for these applications.

EIFS application is achieved in two main steps: first the EPS board is mechanically or adhesively applied to the wall substrate and a woven mesh is applied on top. The mesh is added to give the impact resistance needed for high
traffic and general field areas. Second, the base coat is
applied to the EPS and allowed
to cure and a finish is applied, completing the system. Due to less time between steps and fewer applications than traditional 3-coat systems, this method provides tremendous savings in terms of total labor time on the wall and the amount of time expensive scaffolding equipment is on each job. Projects can be completed with fewer total man hours and equipment cost!
